Our culture has so many messages about who we are as women, but who does God’s Word say that we are? We long to see women gather and connect with each other while at the same time engaging with God’s Word in a meaningful way that leaves women encouraged and challenged to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Devoted Podcast
The Devoted Podcast is part of the Women’s Ministry at Athey Creek Church. Join us as we discuss what it means to be a woman devoted to God and His Word today.
Biblical Counsel
Athey Creek has a team of women who offer biblical counsel* to the ladies of our congregation. We believe that the Bible provides answers to whatever issues one may face in life, at home, as a parent, etc. We prayerfully come alongside and direct women to our Wonderful Counselor (Isaiah 9:6) who will provide whatever we need.
- After completing the form, one of our counselors will contact you to schedule an appointment.
- Meetings can be online (phone or video call) or in-person.
*While we do not have counseling credentials, we bring years of life experience and knowledge of the scriptures to every counseling session.
Titus 2 at Home
This ministry offers an opportunity for the older women of the church to lovingly come alongside and encourage younger women and moms. Athey Creek’s Titus 2 ladies fulfill the admonition found in Titus 2:3-5, which says, “In the same way, older women are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not addicted to much wine. They are to teach what is good, so they may encourage the young women to love their husbands and to love their children, to be self-controlled, pure, homemakers, kind, and submissive to their husbands, so that God’s message will not be slandered.”
What to Expect When You Fill Out the Form
- One of the Titus 2 women will reach out by email or phone to set up a future time to talk and/or meet with you. They would be glad to pray with you, encourage you, and cheer you on.
- If needed, our Titus 2 women are available to come to your home in pairs to answer questions you may have about home life, marriage, and parenting. These caring women are eager to share their years of practical experience combined with a biblical perspective.
What is a Devoted Group?
A Devoted Group is a group of women from Athey Creek who meet in person to pray together and grow in our understanding and application of what it looks like to be women living according to His good design. These groups meet for 6 – 8 weeks at a time and aren’t tied to a regular seasonal schedule; they begin as the Lord leads. Our next round of these will be in February and March of 2026, so keep an eye out for more details and dates as we get closer!
Facilitator
What is a Devoted Group facilitator?
As a Devoted Group facilitator, we believe God will use you for His purposes. To serve God in this capacity is both a privilege and a blessing, and it requires your time, energy, and devotion to God and this ministry.
Being a facilitator means that you will support a group of women during a Bible study season (6-8 weeks) by encouraging discussion within the group as study questions are reviewed. You will also spend time in prayer throughout the week and send weekly messages to communicate about the upcoming meeting. Each facilitator will be expected to report to their Devoted Group Facilitator Lead with any questions or concerns throughout the study. We encourage you to pray about this opportunity (with your husband, if applicable).

Expectations for a Facilitator:
~ 5-8 hours/week

Ability to maintain composure during difficult interactions
Communicate often with your co-facilitator and host
Participate in at least one check-in meeting during the study season
Mediate discussion and keep time for your group as outlined in the facilitator guide
Send weekly messages through Rock/email to communicate with your group about meeting time, location, and content of the upcoming study week
Encourage and pray for the ladies in your group
Complete the homework for the week
Choose questions to discuss within your group prior to the meeting

Signing up as a host allows you to open your home to an Athey Women Devoted Group and provide a warm and inviting place for a study season (6-8 weeks). We encourage you to pray about this opportunity (with your husband, if applicable).

Psalm 119 Devoted Groups
Psalm 119 consists of 176 verses, all centered on one theme: the Word of God! As believers in Jesus, we believe that God’s Word is inspired and without error. It teaches us, corrects us, and trains us in righteousness so that we may be complete and equipped for all that God has for us. As we walk through Psalm 119, we pray you’ll find true delight in discovering the Way of His Word!
This Bible study will take place in Devoted Groups, which are groups of women from Athey Creek who meet to pray together and grow in their understanding and application of what it looks like to be women living according to His good design. Groups will span for seven weeks, beginning the first week of February and ending the week of March 16. (Time, day, and location vary from group to group.)

STUDY GUIDE INFO
Psalm 119 study guides will be available for purchase in the Bookstore (West Linn), as well as at our McMinnville and Hillsboro campuses, before or after any weekend service or Wednesday Night Bible Study beginning Saturday, January 3. If you prefer to have your study guide shipped to you, please visit Athey Gear to place your order. We ship on Tuesdays and Fridays, and delivery typically takes 7-10 business days.
If you cannot pick up or order your study guide before your first Devoted Group meeting (by the first week of February), they will remain available in the Bookstore throughout the study and afterward.
