Through the Bible (Hebrews 12)

Hebrews 12

The writer of Hebrews exhorted us in Chapter 12 to run the race of the Christian faith with our eyes fixed on Jesus, leaving behind the weight that holds us back. We were challenged by Pastor Brett to endure God’s discipline as His children and to stand firm in His strength through the trials of life. Closing out the study we were reminded that our God is a consuming fire; that his judgment is real, but that we have an eternal inheritance in Christ as we receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken.

Senior Pastor
Brett is our senior pastor. He and his family moved to Portland in 1996 to start Athey Creek Christian Fellowship. As our church has grown, Brett’s main focus has remained the same: pointing people to Jesus by teaching through God’s Word, verse-by-verse, book-by-book and chapter-by-chapter. Brett and his wife, Debbie, have three children: Brooke, Joey and Casey.
