Video Edi­tor

The Video Edi­tor is pri­mar­i­ly respon­si­ble for pro­cess­ing and edit­ing week­end mes­sage video con­tent for dig­i­tal plat­form dis­tri­b­u­tion, includ­ing on-demand pub­lish­ing, social media clips, and pod­casts. Addi­tion­al­ly, this role will col­lab­o­rate with video­g­ra­phers to cre­ate addi­tion­al dig­i­tal con­tent as need­ed. To ensure visu­al con­sis­ten­cy across all projects, the Video Edi­tor must pos­sess the tech­ni­cal knowl­edge to iden­ti­fy improve­ment oppor­tu­ni­ties with­in the work­flow, imple­ment those improve­ments to increase the qual­i­ty of the videos pro­duced, and par­tic­i­pate in the cre­ative and pro­duc­tion processes.

Qual­i­fi­ca­tions:

  • Agree to ACCF doc­tri­nal dis­tinc­tive and vision as found in our What We Believe/​Vision Statement 
  • Ful­fill the char­ac­ter qual­i­fi­ca­tions of a dea­con as taught in the scriptures
  • High school diplo­ma or GED
  • Flu­en­cy in video edit­ing tools and techniques
  • Expe­ri­ence cre­at­ing basic motion graph­ics using Adobe After Effects
  • Two years of pro­fes­sion­al expe­ri­ence in video editing
  • Pro­fi­cient in Adobe Cre­ative Cloud (Pre­mière, After Effects, etc.)
  • Knowl­edge in motion track­ing, key­ing, col­or cor­rec­tion, and typography
  • Expe­ri­ence using Microsoft Office, Drop­box, and oth­er project man­age­ment software
  • Able to shoot video using sophis­ti­cat­ed cam­era equipment 
  • Knowl­edge of pro­duc­tion and the post-pro­duc­tion process, equip­ment, and technology
  • Excel­lent time man­age­ment skills
  • Good ver­bal and writ­ten com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills. 
  • A cre­ative prob­lem solver

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Par­tic­i­pate in week­ly staff meet­ings and spe­cial events as needed 
  • Process and edit week­end mes­sage con­tent for social media distribution
  • Work on mul­ti­ple edit­ing assign­ments con­cur­rent­ly and report on their progress weekly
  • Pre­pare week­ly con­tent for pub­lish­ing on online plat­forms, such as YouTube
  • Ensure video con­tent is qual­i­ty checked to meet brand stan­dards, desired tone, and voice
  • Edit con­tent and/​or cre­ate alter­nate ver­sions for dif­fer­ent platforms
  • Assist video­g­ra­phers in cap­tur­ing con­tent as needed
  • Pro­vide edit­ing sup­port for mar­ket­ing and Com­mu­ni­ca­tion Team projects
