Recep­tion­ist

The Recep­tion­ist acts as the first point of con­tact for callers and vis­i­tors to ACCF. They are respon­si­ble for pro­vid­ing a wel­com­ing envi­ron­ment, both in per­son and on the phone, and ensur­ing ques­tions and con­cerns are direct­ed to the appro­pri­ate ministries.

Qual­i­fi­ca­tions:

  • Agree to ACCF doc­tri­nal dis­tinc­tive and vision as found in our What We Believe/​Vision Statement
  • Ful­fill the char­ac­ter qual­i­fi­ca­tions of a dea­con as taught in scripture 
  • Strong admin­is­tra­tive skills 
  • Strong ver­bal and writ­ten com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills 
  • Pos­sess an ener­getic attitude
  • Com­pe­tent in com­put­er skills, includ­ing Office 365
  • Abil­i­ty to trou­bleshoot prob­lems and seek solutions
  • Abil­i­ty to main­tain com­po­sure dur­ing dif­fi­cult interactions
  • Abil­i­ty to adapt and thrive in a rapid­ly chang­ing, dynam­ic environment
  • Self-direct­ed

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Par­tic­i­pate in week­ly staff meet­ings and spe­cial events, as needed
  • Effec­tive­ly per­form recep­tion­ist respon­si­bil­i­ties to func­tion as an ACCF infor­ma­tion and com­mu­ni­ca­tion hub
  • Ensure a warm and wel­com­ing envi­ron­ment for guests and staff
  • Main­tain an over­all clean environment
  • Fol­low bud­getary guide­lines as deter­mined by the approv­ing pas­toral staff
  • Assist pas­toral staff and oth­er staff in an admin­is­tra­tive or sup­port role, as needed
  • Orga­nize the recep­tion sta­tion as a gen­er­al work area to fos­ter col­lab­o­ra­tion amongst office staff
  • Work with the office admin­is­tra­tor on posi­tion­al and dai­ly requirements
  • Main­tain and order front office supplies
  • Work as a team with ACCF staff, always edi­fy­ing one another
