Kids Volunteer Coordinator

This position supports Athey’s Volunteer Ministry model by onboarding, training, and caring for volunteers in the Kids Ministry.

Qual­i­fi­ca­tions:

  • Agree to ACCF doc­tri­nal dis­tinc­tive and vision as found in our What We Believe/​Vision Statement
  • Ful­fill the char­ac­ter qual­i­fi­ca­tions of a dea­con as taught in scripture
  • Pos­sess strong writ­ten and ver­bal inter­per­son­al com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills 
  • Demon­strate kind­ness, humil­i­ty, and self-aware­ness in inter­ac­tions with others
  • Abil­i­ty to engage kids ages kinder­garten through high school
  • Abil­i­ty to adapt, learn, and thrive in a rapid­ly chang­ing, dynam­ic environment

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Devel­op and imple­ment an ongo­ing process to recruit, train, and sup­port vol­un­teers, includ­ing lead­er­ship devel­op­ment with the Kids Min­istry Vol­un­teer Leads
  • Over­sees the recruit­ment, train­ing, super­vi­sion, and sup­port of Vol­un­teer Leads
  • Devel­op min­istry Leads to over­see par­tic­i­pa­tion and com­mu­ni­ca­tion with vol­un­teers on their teams
  • Over­see the place­ment and week­ly sched­ul­ing of Kids Min­istry volunteers 
  • Plan and facil­i­tate vol­un­teer ori­en­ta­tion ses­sions with the help of the Vol­un­teer Min­istry Leads 
  • Cre­ate and devel­op vol­un­teer ori­en­ta­tion mate­ri­als and Athey Kids spe­cif­ic mate­ri­als for vol­un­teer oppor­tu­ni­ty aware­ness, ensur­ing they align with the over­all vision of the church Vol­un­teer Ministry
  • Ensure that vol­un­teer activ­i­ties con­tribute to the over­all goals and mis­sion of the Athey Kids Ministry
  • Plan and coor­di­nate Athey Kids vol­un­teer appre­ci­a­tion and recog­ni­tion activities
  • Enhance, fill, and expand vol­un­teer roles in the min­istry and devel­op a vol­un­teer pipeline
  • Per­form oth­er duties as assigned
