Kids Volunteer Coordinator
This position supports Athey’s Volunteer Ministry model by onboarding, training, and caring for volunteers in the Kids Ministry.
Qualifications:
- Agree to ACCF doctrinal distinctive and vision as found in our What We Believe/Vision Statement
- Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in scripture
- Possess strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrate kindness, humility, and self-awareness in interactions with others
- Ability to engage kids ages kindergarten through high school
- Ability to adapt, learn, and thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an ongoing process to recruit, train, and support volunteers, including leadership development with the Kids Ministry Volunteer Leads
- Oversees the recruitment, training, supervision, and support of Volunteer Leads
- Develop ministry Leads to oversee participation and communication with volunteers on their teams
- Oversee the placement and weekly scheduling of Kids Ministry volunteers
- Plan and facilitate volunteer orientation sessions with the help of the Volunteer Ministry Leads
- Create and develop volunteer orientation materials and Athey Kids specific materials for volunteer opportunity awareness, ensuring they align with the overall vision of the church Volunteer Ministry
- Ensure that volunteer activities contribute to the overall goals and mission of the Athey Kids Ministry
- Plan and coordinate Athey Kids volunteer appreciation and recognition activities
- Enhance, fill, and expand volunteer roles in the ministry and develop a volunteer pipeline
- Perform other duties as assigned
Schedule:
Wednesday-Sunday, may include evenings and holidays
