Inventory Control Specialist

Required Experience & Knowledge

- Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in scripture
- Be highly motivated, energetic, and possess strong work ethic/initiative skills
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment
- Minimum 5 years experience in inventory management
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive items and ensure they are cataloged and proper storage space is allocated
- Maintain an inventory system where every item is quantified and organized
- Maintain an inventory system and organize items in a way that is space-conscious and easy to find
- Retrieve supplies as needed for upcoming ministry support events and deliver or arrange pick up with requesters
- Be available via Teams, text, email, or phone to assist with ministry support requests
- Ensure that all Maintenance areas are clean and orderly by sweeping and taking out trash as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of returned items and the motorized equipment used for transport
- Work as a team with ACC staff, always being edifying to one another
- Manage the calendar for vehicle reservations, distribute keys accordingly, and communicate with staff and the building and Grounds Team of vehicle usage
- Assist in creating monitoring systems to detect problems as early as possible and initiate interventions to solve problems
- Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory
- Operate scissor lift when necessary
- Supervise day-to-day storeroom operations: purchasing, receiving, storing, distributing, maintenance, and inventory control of tools, materials, supplies, and equipment
- Create, revise, and implement procedures and guidelines for storage, inventory control, materials management, safety, and security
- Arrange for maintenance and repair of large equipment and machinery on all properties
- Ensure assigned facilities and equipment are ready for regular business and special events
- Provide recommendations for purchases of new equipment and inventory
- Perform administrative and record-keeping functions including but not limited to keys, equipment, and supplies
- Ensure scheduled maintenance is on all vehicles/trailers/equipment, etc., per the manufacturer’s recommendations
