Athey Women Volunteer Coordinator

This position provides vital support to the Athey Women’s ministry by helping care for general event and study volunteers. This role works closely with the Women's Ministry Team to develop and implement volunteer leadership structure and offer hands-on support during busy ministry seasons. With year-round flexibility, this person serves as a trusted resource to step in when volunteer needs increase, providing relational care, structure, and consistency.

Required Expe­ri­ence & Knowledge

  • Agree to ACC doc­tri­nal dis­tinc­tive and vision as found in our What We Believe/​Vision Statement
  • Ful­fill the char­ac­ter qual­i­fi­ca­tions of a dea­con as taught in scripture
  • Excel­lent writ­ing, edit­ing, gram­mar, and ver­bal com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills
  • 1+ year of vol­un­teer expe­ri­ence at Athey Creek
  • Excel­lent Mac-based sys­tems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Dri­ve skills
  • Sched­ule- and task-focused; able to pri­or­i­tize and coor­di­nate duties using project man­age­ment soft­ware, lists, etc.
  • Be self-direct­ed, able to lead oth­ers, and coor­di­nate vol­un­teers at planned events
  • Abil­i­ty to main­tain com­po­sure dur­ing dif­fi­cult interactions
  • Main­tain flex­i­bil­i­ty to adapt and thrive in a rapid­ly chang­ing, dynam­ic environment
  • A strong desire to serve the women of Athey Creek

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Respond to ques­tions or con­cerns that arise with Athey Women volunteers
  • Rein­force Athey Women’s vision and dis­tinc­tives with­in vol­un­teer culture
  • Over­see Women’s Min­istry vol­un­teer sched­ul­ing, train­ing, and coordination
  • Help imple­ment and sup­port the Athey Women Vol­un­teer Lead and Men­tor structure
  • Work with the Women’s Min­istry team on posi­tion­al and vol­un­teer requirements
  • Con­duct reg­u­lar vol­un­teer check-in calls, encour­age­ment, and fellowship
  • Step in as a back­up or tem­po­rary sup­port when vol­un­teer leads are unavailable
  • Coor­di­nate and sup­port vol­un­teer needs dur­ing events, such as Devot­ed Live, Devot­ed Groups, etc., as needed.
  • Sup­port com­mu­ni­ca­tion to vol­un­teers for events, projects, and studies
  • Attend week­ly staff meet­ings and team meetings
  • Engage as part of a team with Athey Creek staff, always being edi­fy­ing to one another
  • Oth­er duties as assigned
