Qual­i­fi­ca­tions:

-Agree to ACC’s doc­tri­nal dis­tinc­tive and vision as found in What We Believe/​Vision state­ment. — Ful­fill the char­ac­ter qual­i­fi­ca­tions of a dea­con as taught in the Scrip­tures. — Associate’s degree or rel­e­vant cer­ti­fi­ca­tion pre­ferred — 2 years of expe­ri­ence in account­ing or book­keep­ing func­tions — Expe­ri­ence in prob­lem-solv­ing — Abil­i­ty to han­dle mul­ti­ple projects effec­tive­ly — Excel­lent ver­bal and inter­per­son­al skills — Pro­fi­cien­cy in Word and Excel — Foun­da­tion­al knowl­edge in Quick­Books — Com­fort­able with data systems

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Par­tic­i­pate in week­ly staff meetings
  • Over­see and secure the col­lec­tion of tithes and offerings
  • Process and record con­tri­bu­tions of var­i­ous types
  • Man­age online tithes and offerings
  • Month­ly vari­ance reports to ana­lyze con­tri­bu­tions and expenses
  • Assist fel­low employ­ees in the imple­men­ta­tion of finan­cial account­ing procedures
  • Assist in the facil­i­ta­tion of event reg­is­tra­tions for oth­er departments
  • Assist with income reports for the supervisor
  • Com­pose and dis­trib­ute annu­al giv­ing statements
  • Man­age cred­it card transactions
  • Rec­on­cile accounts in a time­ly manner
  • Research, track, and restore account­ing or doc­u­men­ta­tion prob­lems and discrepancies
  • Main­tain con­fi­den­tial­i­ty of all finan­cial data
  • Spe­cial projects and oth­er duties as assigned
