Perhaps the disciples thought that everything would be smooth sailing when they chose to follow Jesus, but in Luke 8:22-25 they find themselves on the brink of death while being tossed about by wind and waves. If we likewise cannot expect ease and perfection when we follow Jesus, what then can we expect?
