Pastoral Team Administrative Assistant

Required Expe­ri­ence & Knowledge

  • Agree to ACC’s doc­tri­nal dis­tinc­tive and vision as found in our What We Believe/​Vision Statement
  • Ful­fill the char­ac­ter qual­i­fi­ca­tions of a dea­con as taught in scripture
  • Absolute aware­ness and adher­ence to confidentiality
  • Strong admin­is­tra­tive skills and oth­er abil­i­ties, such as com­mu­ni­ca­tion, writ­ing, obser­va­tion, analy­sis, lead­er­ship, and a metic­u­lous work ethic
  • Demon­stra­ble com­pe­tence in com­put­er skills includ­ing MS Office, Pages, and typing
  • 3+ years of office assis­tant work experience
  • Self-direct­ed, able to lead oth­ers,= and man­age projects
  • Sched­ule-and task-focused; able to pri­or­i­tize and com­plete duties using track­ing soft­ware, lists, etc.
  • Ana­lyt­i­cal thinker with good time man­age­ment skills

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Par­tic­i­pate in week­ly staff meet­ings and spe­cial events as needed
  • Engage as part of a team with Athey Creek staff, always being edi­fy­ing to one another
  • Man­age the Pas­toral Team’s calendars
  • Man­age the Pas­toral Team’s Appointments
  • Man­age vol­un­teer sched­ul­ing for ser­vices and POD
  • Com­pas­sion­ate­ly respond to urgent needs or cri­sis situations
  • Pre­pare for meet­ings; cre­ate pre­sen­ta­tions and spreadsheets
  • Assist with benev­o­lence requests
  • Orga­nize and main­tain con­fi­den­tial files and records of a sen­si­tive nature
  • Pro­vide the Pas­toral Team with dai­ly admin­is­tra­tive support
  • All oth­er duties as assigned
