HR Generalist
The HR Generalist leads the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources Department, with a primary focus on compliance and HR best practices.

- Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in scripture
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- High standard of attention to detail
- Ability to manage time and prioritize work
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- At least one year of human resource management experience
- 5+ years of elevated HR generalist experience required
- Experience with ministry and non-profit regulations is preferred
- SHRM-CP or HRCI certified strongly preferred
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and special events as needed
- Oversee the background check process, ensuring compliance with ACCF’s standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic human resource files, records, and documentation of personnel files
- Create and manages job postings; coordinate with managers to ensure job descriptions are up-to-date and accurate
- Assist with new hire orientation and educating employees on HR policies and internal procedures
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave
- Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations
- Ensure all employee electronic and paper files are correctly maintained per applicable laws and regulations
- Periodic review and auditing of the I‑9 folders to ensure regulatory compliance
- Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Conduct annual and ongoing internal auditing of HR
- All other duties as assigned
