HR Gen­er­al­ist

The HR Gen­er­al­ist leads the day-to-day func­tions of the Human Resources Depart­ment, with a pri­ma­ry focus on com­pli­ance and HR best practices.

Qual­i­fi­ca­tions:

  • Agree to ACCF’s doc­tri­nal Dis­tinc­tives and vision as found in our What We Believe/​Vision Statement 
  • Ful­fill the char­ac­ter qual­i­fi­ca­tions of a dea­con as taught in scripture
  • Excel­lent ver­bal, writ­ten, and inter­per­son­al com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills 
  • High stan­dard of atten­tion to detail 
  • Abil­i­ty to man­age time and pri­or­i­tize work 
  • Thor­ough knowl­edge of employ­ment-relat­ed laws and regulations 
  • Pro­fi­cient in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Bach­e­lor’s degree in Human Resources, Busi­ness Admin­is­tra­tion, or relat­ed field preferred 
  • At least one year of human resource man­age­ment experience 
  • 5+ years of ele­vat­ed HR gen­er­al­ist expe­ri­ence required 
  • Expe­ri­ence with min­istry and non-prof­it reg­u­la­tions is preferred 
  • SHRM-CP or HRCI cer­ti­fied strong­ly preferred 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Par­tic­i­pate in week­ly staff meet­ings and spe­cial events as needed 
  • Over­see the back­ground check process, ensur­ing com­pli­ance with ACCF’s standards 
  • Main­tain accu­rate and up-to-date elec­tron­ic human resource files, records, and doc­u­men­ta­tion of per­son­nel files 
  • Cre­ate and man­ages job post­ings; coor­di­nate with man­agers to ensure job descrip­tions are up-to-date and accurate 
  • Assist with new hire ori­en­ta­tion and edu­cat­ing employ­ees on HR poli­cies and inter­nal procedures 
  • Per­form rou­tine tasks required to admin­is­ter and exe­cute human resource pro­grams, includ­ing but not lim­it­ed to com­pen­sa­tion, ben­e­fits, and leave 
  • Assist with the prepa­ra­tion of reports and presentations 
  • Ensure all employ­ee elec­tron­ic and paper files are cor­rect­ly main­tained per applic­a­ble laws and regulations 
  • Peri­od­ic review and audit­ing of the I‑9 fold­ers to ensure reg­u­la­to­ry compliance 
  • Address employ­ment-relat­ed inquiries from appli­cants, employ­ees, and supervisors 
  • Main­tain knowl­edge of trends, best prac­tices, reg­u­la­to­ry changes, and new tech­nolo­gies in human resources, tal­ent man­age­ment, and employ­ment law 
  • Con­duct annu­al and ongo­ing inter­nal audit­ing of HR 
  • All oth­er duties as assigned
