Kids Ministry Assistant

The Kids Ministry Assistant works with the broader Athey Kids Ministry team and is responsible for supporting the vision, development, and execution of the Kids Ministry program.

Qual­i­fi­ca­tions:

  • Agree to ACCF doc­tri­nal dis­tinc­tive and vision as found in our What We Believe/​Vision Statement
  • Ful­fill the char­ac­ter qual­i­fi­ca­tions of a dea­con as taught in scripture
  • Poss­es strong writ­ten and ver­bal inter­per­son­al com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills
  • Demon­strate kind­ness, humil­i­ty, and self-aware­ness in inter­ac­tions with others
  • Pos­sess a love and call­ing toward min­istry to chil­dren and families
  • Able to adapt and thrive in a rapid­ly chang­ing, dynam­ic environment
  • Proven abil­i­ty to devel­op, equip, and mobi­lize volunteers
  • Self-moti­vat­ed with excel­lent orga­ni­za­tion­al and time man­age­ment skills

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist Athey Kids Coor­di­na­tor with class prepa­ra­tion and management
  • Sup­port all aspects of the Kids Min­istry expe­ri­ence under the direc­tion of the Kids Min­istry Coordinator 
  • Train, lead, equip, and serve along­side volunteers
  • Build rela­tion­ships with vol­un­teers (includ­ing care, sup­port, and appreciation)
  • Help with admin­is­tra­tive tasks; meet­ing oth­er needs of the min­istry as needed 
  • Wel­come and assist new fam­i­lies with check-in, poli­cies, and questions
  • Keep class­room inven­to­ry orga­nized and well-stocked between services
  • Con­tribute and par­tic­i­pate in Kids Min­istry direc­tion and vision
  • Con­nect par­ents and vol­un­teers with applic­a­ble resources as needed
  • Assist with cam­pus-wide events (Har­vest Par­ty, VBS, etc.) that fall out­side reg­u­lar pro­gram hours
  • All oth­er tasks as needed

Sched­ule:

Wednes­day – Sun­day, includ­ing evenings, week­ends, and holidays
