Kids Ministry Assistant
The Kids Ministry Assistant works with the broader Athey Kids Ministry team and is responsible for supporting the vision, development, and execution of the Kids Ministry program.
Qualifications:
- Agree to ACCF doctrinal distinctive and vision as found in our What We Believe/Vision Statement
- Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in scripture
- Posses strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrate kindness, humility, and self-awareness in interactions with others
- Possess a love and calling toward ministry to children and families
- Able to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment
- Proven ability to develop, equip, and mobilize volunteers
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist Athey Kids Coordinator with class preparation and management
- Support all aspects of the Kids Ministry experience under the direction of the Kids Ministry Coordinator
- Train, lead, equip, and serve alongside volunteers
- Build relationships with volunteers (including care, support, and appreciation)
- Help with administrative tasks; meeting other needs of the ministry as needed
- Welcome and assist new families with check-in, policies, and questions
- Keep classroom inventory organized and well-stocked between services
- Contribute and participate in Kids Ministry direction and vision
- Connect parents and volunteers with applicable resources as needed
- Assist with campus-wide events (Harvest Party, VBS, etc.) that fall outside regular program hours
- All other tasks as needed
Schedule:
Wednesday – Sunday, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
