Journeys of Paul 2018All Church
Thursday, Aug. 9th at 7 am - Sunday, the 19th at 10 pm
We are happy to announce an exciting trip we have coming up in August, 2018. Pastor Brett is going to lead a group of Athey Creekers to some of Paul’s stops on his missionary journeys. It will be a unique chance to learn about the beginnings of the early church, and the places where Paul taught as we travel. We will also visit some other meaningful sites, along with some stops that will be just for fun. However, this trip is special in that it will not be a bus tour. Instead, we will travel by ship to these sites in Turkey and Greece. The Star Clipper will take us from port to port. It is such a fun way to travel!
The cost of the trip ranges from $4,075 to $6,975 per person, based on double occupancy. The prices vary because the stateroom sizes and configurations are different. If you refer to the website listed below, it does a great job of explaining the various categories of rooms and their corresponding costs. One thing to note is that, unlike an Israel trip, this cost does not include airfare. If you have air miles, this is a great time to use them up. If not, you could probably plan on $1,500-$2,000 for the flights.
We are also adding a Rome extension. The final details are being wrapped up and will be posted to the website as soon as possible. We will spend an additional three days touring through Rome, where Paul spent his last years.
Athens, Ephesus, Philippi, Patmos, Mykonos, Skyros and Corinth.
We are not setting a minimum age requirement for this trip. Families are welcome to bring kiddos. The pace of this trip is much more laid-back than our Israel trips, so we are opening it up to people of all ages.
We work with Morning Star Tours, which is a great company that helps with the logistics of our Israel trips. Registration, and stateroom requests, are processed on a first come, first served basis. Morning Star handles all of the registration through their website. A $1500 deposit reserves your spot.
