What are the signs of the times? The book of Revelation shows us what must “shortly” come to pass. Join us tonight as we examine the nature of Bible prophecy and how it unfolds through time. But also personally, how does the Lord reveal things to you? Be blessed to take in Revelation: the reading, hearing and keeping the words of this book. Then be challenged to distribute: the good news of what Jesus has done!
Be blessed as we read through Revelation! We are introduced to this final book of the Bible by learning the author of Revelation, understanding the main point is Jesus Christ. As we examine common misconceptions of Revelation, take on the joy, peace and comfort welling in this book of prophecy.
What are people saying about prophecy today? In a time when some of the church is trending away from Biblical prophecy, we look to Jesus to learn His wisdom on the matter. In our study through 2 Peter 3, we consider the fact that a quarter of the Bible speaks on prophecy. Do not be duped by man’s wisdom; the Lord’s Judgment is to come. Learn the saving grace and faithful love of the Lord Jesus Christ, and His return.
We begin 2 Peter 1 understanding the why we should believe Jesus is God. Peter gives two reasons to explore in our study. Learn the value of an eyewitness, as Peter was witness to Jesus as God. Even more, the sure Word of prophecy throughout the Old Testament and New Testament being fulfilled – exactingly! Herein we are all sinners. “What think ye of Christ?”
For this year’s Prophecy Update we took an in-depth look at what is happening globally in connection with Bible prophecy, specifically related to the End Times. The study encompassed four main sections, starting with a look at Israel and why it is so important and central to Bible prophecy. The study continued by looking at prophecies of Israel related to Syria, Egypt, and Gaza. We closed out looking at an obscure prophecy from Isaiah 9:10 and a look at our nation and the pride that we are called to repent from. The night closed with an exhortation from Hebrews 12:5-15 that reminded us that God disciplines those whom He loves.
We have also created a PDF of the slides for the presentation for your use in taking notes and study:
