Tonight, we see Paul continue to build up the Corinthians in the Lord. We learn how this looks in our lives today.

In 2 Corinthians 9:15, Paul takes a moment to celebrate the free gift of Jesus Christ and what He has done for all of us. We look at all the aspects of this gift and all of its glory.

In II Corinthians 8, Paul begins to teach the church about giving. Pastor Brett discusses the difference between “giving” and “tithe”.

As we wrap up the book of 1 Corinthians, we see Paul talk to the church about the importance of tithe. Pastor Brett explains that giving should be an act of worship, it should be systematic, it should be personal, individual and it should be proportionate.

We cover a lot of ground tonight as we finish up Paul’s checklist of practical ways to show love within the church. He follows this up with chapter 13, which outlines our responsibility to honor and submit to governing authorities in our lives. “Love is the fulfillment of the law” is the overarching theme of these chapters.

We cover a lot of ground as we finish up the last half of Acts 11 and all of chapter 12. Some of the highlights include the spread of the gospel to the Gentiles, the ministry of Barnabas and Paul’s miraculous rescue from Herod’s plot to kill him.
