In this teaching Pastor Brett brought a convicting word from Hebrews 12:14-15 warning us against the dangers and the poison of bitterness. We saw how bitterness blinds our vision, keeping us from seeing how wretched and in need of grace we are. We also saw how it blocks God’s grace in our lives, that it blossoms into trouble and ultimately blackens our soul with sin. We ended seeing a beautiful picture from Exodus 15 of how the Cross of Christ makes the bitter waters turn sweet.

Tonight, we’re reminded of a very simple, yet extremely important concept: God’s grace. Pastor Bryn illustrates this by studying King Manasseh of the Old Testament.

One of the biggest struggles that we deal with today is forgiveness. In Ephesians 4:31-32, Paul talks to the church about kindness and forgiveness - a lesson we can definitely glean from today.

In Chapter 5 of II Corinthians, Paul talks about what we, as Christians, should do during trials and tough times. Paul also discusses the Lord’s judgment.

The Bible uses the concept of the foundation of a structure to illustrate how we should build our faith. In 1 Corinthians 3:9-15, Paul discusses the importance of a solid foundation, how we should build and our reward in heaven.

In Romans 12:1, Paul urges “the brethren” to become wholly devoted to God. Pastor Brett talks about how we as Christians are to submit our bodies, our minds and our will to the Lord. We learn of God’s perfect will, His permissive will and the differences between the two.
