This morning, we delve further into 2 Thessalonians as it relates to end times. We turn our attention to what the Bible says about the antichrist, a man of sin and a son of perdition.
As we continue our series through Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians, we focus on 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. We learn that God tells us we are not to be ignorant of certain things, specifically the rapture of the church.
As we continue our study through the book of Philippians, we read Paul kept the Philippians in mind, remembered them in prayer, and he had them in his heart. We learn how we should treat others in the church by the way Paul treats the Philippians.
As we progress toward the end of the book, the focus on tonight’s study is the millennial kingdom. Some of the topics Pastor Brett touches on include life on earth during the 1,000 years, the resurrection of all people, the distinctions between Hell/Hades/Abyss and the eventual doom of Satan.
Last week we studied the false religious system of Babylon. Tonight we examine its economic, commercial aspect. There are many possible interpretations of what this means for the future. Take a deeper look at these items as we read through Revelation 18.
Revelation 17 introduces us to Mystery Babylon, the religious system that the antichrist will exploit during the tribulation. We look at its roots in ancient Babylon, its evolution during the time of Constantine and its impact on these dark days in the future.
Tonight’s study is focused on the final three verses of Revelation 13. We learn more about the Antichrist and the economic system he will put in place during the tribulation. We also take some time to look at our current economy and trends that could possibly usher in this new worldwide monetary system.
The seventh trumpet introduces us to seven personages. Tonight, we will focus on the ‘unholy trinity’ of the dragon, the beast of the sea and the beast of the earth. There is much to learn from history and from many passages in the Word as we take a closer look at these three individuals.
This evening we finish up Revelation 11 with one woe still to come - the last of the seven trumpets. We take a pause at this scene and focus on what is going on in heaven where a great time of worship breaks out!
The characters in this eventful chapter include a woman in labor, a dragon, a beast and Michael the archangel. The symbolism is rich as we learn about the fate of our enemy, the accuser, and the future of the nation of Israel.
