As more than 26 percent of the Bible is about prophecy, it is important to stay current with all of the happenings around the world. As we bring in the new year, Pastor Brett takes a moment to look at some of the events that have occurred over the course of 2011 which line up perfectly with Bible prophecy.

This is our 2008 Prophecy Update on New Year’s Eve where we looked at current events in light of Scripture and Biblical eschatology. This year’s study was anchored in the prophecies of Ezekiel 38

In the last four chapters of Ezekiel, we study the millennial temple, the Lamb without blemish and the 12 tribes of Israel.

Jesus is the Living Water. In our study through Ezekiel, the Lord gives a message to Ezekiel demonstrating that Jesus Christ is the source of the river of life.

Ezekiel chapters 42-44 describe how the Lord’s glory will return to the temple and the role of the priests.

When we become Christians, the Lord changes us for the better. He did not save us to keep us the way we are, but to transform us as we are His workmanship.

In our study through chapters 40 and 41, Ezekiel describes a vision he received from God, including the detailed measurements of a temple.

The East Gate of Jerusalem is a perfect example of a door which only the Lord can open. In our lives, God opens and closes doors as he pleases and we should not try to fight against it.

In our study through chapters 38 and 39, we learn of Russia’s involvement in the Middle East and how it relates to the end times.

The Lord warns us through His Word, there is a time coming named the Great Tribulation. This time will be the worst the world has ever see, but God tells us how to escape it.
