Tonight, we find Paul talking to the early church about how to handle the devil and his works. Pastor Brett continues his discussion about the enemy himself, the equipment we are given to deal with him and the power of Jesus Christ.
This morning, Pastor Brett looks at Ephesians 6:10. Paul tells the church at Ephesus to be strong in the Lord. The devil is at work, but the Lord is much greater. Pastor Brett talks about the cards that Satan likes to play and how we as Christians can combat them.
Tonight, we take our text from Ephesians 6:5-9, where we see Paul talk about servants submitting to their masters. Pastor Brett talks about whether the Bible condemns or condones slavery, as well as the meaning of hard work. He talks about our rights and responsibilities both as citizens of the United States and as followers of Jesus Christ.
In Ephesians 6:1-4, Paul speaks to the Ephesians about parenting, and specifically, the role of a father in the home. We learn that fathers are to not only provide for the family financially, but they are to provide the discipline and correction that is needed when it comes to parenting. Pastor Brett also discusses the difference between discipline and abuse.
As we continue to study Ephesians 5, Paul talks to the church at Ephesus about marriage. In our culture, more than half of all marriages fail. Tonight, we see that God has a plan for marriage. Brett delves further into the specifics of men’s and women’s roles in marriage.
Today, we take a closer look at Ephesians 5:21-24. Paul writes to the church about submission, specifically how wives should submit to their husbands.
In Ephesians 5:1-19, we see three key points about our walk as Christians: we are to walk in love, as children of light and in wisdom. Tonight, Pastor Brett talks about how we are to go about doing so.
Tonight, we take a closer look at Ephesians 4, where Paul continues to discuss unity in the church body. We see that the Lord will equip us for the work of the ministry.
One of the biggest struggles that we deal with today is forgiveness. In Ephesians 4:31-32, Paul talks to the church about kindness and forgiveness - a lesson we can definitely glean from today.
As we continue our Bible study through the book of Ephesians, we see how we as Christians should act or respond to the grace God has given us. In chapter 4, we learn the church should be united. Pastor Brett talks about the grace of unity, the ground of unity and the gifts for unity.
