This evening, we take our text from 1 Samuel 17, where we see the story of David and Goliath. James explains that whatever we are doing in life, it is important to do it wholeheartedly as unto the Lord.

This morning, James discusses 1 Samuel 1, where Hannah has a problem. Instead of taking her troubles to her husband, Elkanah, she goes straight to the Lord. God blesses her immensely for this by giving her a son who will impact the children of Israel far more than anyone could have ever imagined.

Bobby Belt filled in for Pastor Brett this morning and shared a teaching about David and the powerful hope he had in the Lord. We, too, can find the strength that David did as we fix our eyes on the “Author and Perfecter of our faith.”

In tonight’s study we see David as a faithful servant, son and warrior.
